Amanda Seales is a comedian and creative visionary with a Master’s in African American studies from Columbia University. Seamlessly blending humor and intellect, her unique style of smart funny content spans various genres across the entertainment and multi-media landscape. She is best known for her iconic role as, “Tiffany DuBois” of HBO’s Insecure, her debut stand up comedy special, “I Be Knowin”, as a former cohost on daytime talk show, “The Real”, host of NBCs “Bring the Funny,” and the host/writer of the groundbreaking 2020 BET Awards. Amanda speaks truth to change via her wildly popular instagram @AmandaSeales, weekly podcast, “Small Doses”, and book by the same name. Centering community building in her comedy, she is also the creator/host of the touring variety game show, “Smart Funny & Black”. Loved for fearlessly saying what folks are thinking, her Reach Media/Urban1 syndicated radio show + podcast, “The Amanda Seales Show” edu-tains audiences with current events, pop culture topics, and the convos going on in your group chat, on the daily to giving the culture what it’s missing!

Smart Funny & Black
Created by comedian/writer/producer, Amanda Seales (HBO Insecure/The Real/author of Small Doses) Smart Funny & Black, brings your favorite funny folks to the, “Hall of Flava”* to compete, in a head to head battle of wits that tests their knowledge of Black history, Black culture, and the Black experience. After a night of fun as hell games, flanked by a live band, and a turnt up audience, each show ends with one guest, taking the crown, and being inducted into the, “Illustrious League of Master Blacksperts”! SFB in Da Crib strengthens unity by providing a safe space to be your whole Black self and link with the people through the shared culture that binds US!
Launched in 2016, Smart Funny & Black has grown from a game show performed in the back of a comic book store on LA’s Sunset Blvd. to a variety show backed by a live band with sold out tours across the nation to now a virtual production that through innovating the interactive space brings SFB to a global audience.
2017-2018: Smart Funny & Black 12 month residency at the world famous The Roxy on LA’s Sunset Strip.
2018: The Smart Funny & Black: Lituation Tour completely sells out its 10 city/23 show run
2019: Smart Funny & Black sold out the concert hall at the prestigious Kennedy Center as part of a 3 day residency of the works of Amanda Seales.
2019: Smart Funny & Black Vibeonics Tour partners with Live Nation and AEG expanding to min 1,500+ seat venues.
2020: In the wake of the Covid 19 pandemic SFB in Da Crib is created as a virtual version of the hit live show experience.
2020: SFB launches its first internship program. A 10-week multi-disciplinary capsule it informs, empowers, and helps employ black professionals with interests in the field of arts & entertainment.
