What Would the Ancestors Say?? is the new one-woman show from the artistic intellectual. Over the course of 2hrs, Ms. Seales entertains, educates, and empowers audiences to step into the light handed down to them by those who fought before them. Weaving history telling and social commentary through stand up comedy, poetry, song, and characters she imagines a new future, keeps it real about the present and gives voice to icons of our cultural past. Standing at the mic next to a folding chair and a sound machine she answers burning questions like, “How’d The Panthers get their berets?”, “how did Clarence Thomas get like that?” “what exactly are the, “here, ni**A damn!” laws?”, “are you the type that Harriet Tubman would shoot if she came back??” and more! At this critical time when disinformation has become the norm, Amanda Seales is back on stage to do what she does best: use art to tell the truth and TELL it funny!
